eva

munich had never seen such a beautiful face
such a gem only falls from outer space
she can only blame heredity
for eyes which mr. wolff would meet
his moustache was funny; a gentleman and a flirt
on no conscience he’d lay them in a garden of dirt

oh eva tell us a story about
how the evil would bite you on the mouth
oh eva was there a glimmer of doubt?
you know these problems work themselves out

while the bodies pile and the single file
she lies naked bathing in sun
he’s less respected while she’s left neglected
two beds never lead to any fun
all and all her heart is for his
while she watches her country come undone
the bride in black no question bites down
now she’s naked in the sun

oh eva they write stories about
how he killed those people too many to count
oh eva was there a glimmer of doubt?
you know these problems work themselves out
